Job Summary

The Environmental Services team at WakeMed is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and infection prevention and control within our facilities. As a Floor Care Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the appearance of all flooring types within our facilities
  • Perform routine housekeeping and cleaning duties, including dry and damp mopping floors, vacuuming rugs and carpets, dusting and sanitizing surfaces in clinical work areas, offices, hallways, restrooms, and patient rooms
  • Assist in promoting a quality experience for our patients and their families, staff, and visitors
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in floor care in an institutional environment, preferably in healthcare
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Ability to work weekends and as needed
