Building Maintenance Specialist

At JLL, we are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and performing preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems, including fire/life safety, mechanical, electrical, and emergency backup systems.

As a Building Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring the operation of various systems, determining the cause of any problems or malfunctions, and taking corrective action as required. You will also be responsible for installing and repairing plumbing, piping, and tubing, as well as installing and rebuilding pumps and motors.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the trades. You will also possess a valid driver's license and be able to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 60lbs.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair plumbing, piping, and tubing
  • Install and rebuild pumps and motors
  • Install and repair electrical controls, switching, and motor controls
  • Operate and maintain critical equipment, including UPS systems, generators, chillers, and critical air conditioning units
  • Monitor operation, repair, and maintain refrigeration, water cooling, and air conditioning equipment
  • Responsible for reporting any problems or malfunctions
  • Comply with employer and client policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Responsible for overseeing the activities of contractors working within the building
  • Responsible for keeping records of building rounds and readings, all engineering logs, and engineering data sheets

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the trades
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 60lbs
