Director of Cardiovascular Services, RN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned cardiovascular nurse leader to join our team as the Director of Cardiovascular Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all cardiovascular services, leading a team of skilled professionals, and driving the strategic vision to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all cardiovascular services, including inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards specific to cardiovascular care.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources while achieving financial goals.
  • Lead initiatives to improve clinical practices and patient outcomes in cardiovascular care, integrating the latest evidence-based practices.
  • Act as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff, providing guidance on complex cardiovascular cases and promoting best practices.
Candidate Requirements:
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in cardiovascular services, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
