About the Role

Matrix Behavior Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Therapist - ABA Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Therapist - ABA Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality services to individuals with special needs in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the findings of the FBA, using evidence-based practices.
  • Provide clinical supervision to Behavior Health Technicians (BHTs) or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to ensure they are providing high-quality services.
  • Direct 1:1 ABA therapy in home, school, and community environments, implementing individualized treatment plans and programs as written by the supervising BCBA.
  • Collect data during each session with the client to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
  • Reduce challenging behaviors such as aggression, property destruction, and tantrums through the implementation of individualized treatment plans.
  • Analyze data to adapt and adjust programming, ensuring the most effective treatment plans are in place.
  • Provide support to parents, teachers, and community officials to ensure a collaborative approach to treatment.
  • Provide clinical support to direct care staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality services.
  • Implement consequences related to appropriate and inappropriate behavior, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Establish coordination of communication with other supporting agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to treatment.
  • Exchange information clearly and concisely with the appropriate parties and concerns.
  • Complete and submit all paperwork, including documentation of session notes, encounter logs, treatment plans, and assessments in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • BACB Certification in good standing.
  • Behavior Specialist License is required.
  • Master's Degree (MS or MA) in a mental health field and one (1) year documented paid experience working with children, adolescents, or youth.
  • Valid driver's license is required, as well as a willingness to travel as needed.
  • One (1) year of paid experience working with children or adolescents (preferred).
