Construction Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Professional to join our team at the Oregon Department of Transportation. As a key member of our Construction Section, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of major and minor construction projects.
About the Role:
- Interpret contract documents and identify potential problems to propose solutions and work with others in their resolution.
- Monitor safety procedures and methods, traffic control, and the Pollution Control Plan to ensure contract work is performed in accordance with documents.
- Apply engineering computations to design simple projects and prepare written reports.
- Assist in performing detailed surveys and calculations using manual and electronic survey equipment, computers, and complex software.

Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in civil or transportation-related engineering, or completion of and passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Strong working knowledge of mathematics, material testing procedures, land surveying, and highway construction methods.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships with others within and outside your team.
