Healthcare Support Specialist

We are seeking a Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team. This 100% remote role is based in the western United States and offers the opportunity to work with a leading nonprofit healthcare company.
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience in healthcare support, preferably in a similar setting. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide information, education, and assistance to members, providers, and other stakeholders regarding healthcare benefits, claims, and eligibility.
- Communicate effectively with customers through various media, including phone, email, and online platforms.
- Assess provider and member inquiries and requirements to understand their service needs.
- Analyze and resolve errors promptly, determining corrective steps to resolve issues.
- Apply benefits according to contract, determining benefit payments, maximum allowable fees, co-pays, and deductibles.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in all internal and external contacts.
- Manage high volumes of calls daily, prioritizing follow-through and documenting member and provider inquiries and actions on tracking systems.
Benefits and Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary range of $38,000 - $58,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will also receive comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous paid time off policy.
