Dining Services Professional

This role is an opportunity to join our team at the NANA Regional Corporation as a Food Service Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning, maintenance, food preparation, stocking, and serving duties in a commercial kitchen, storeroom, dining, or serving area.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with general information, inquiries, and tasks as needed.
- Obtain products requested by residents in a timely and efficient manner.
- Wash objects by hand or using cleaning equipment to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Prepare various food products following standard food handling procedures and guidelines.
- Clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment, and store them in designated areas.
- Maintain product levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas.
- Stock storage areas with various products and supplies.
- Clean and maintain dining, kitchen, and storage areas, as well as floors and equipment.
- Safeguard the environment and participate in a safety program.
- Remove garbage from assigned areas, set up or break down tables, snack bars, display cases, serving lines, and other equipment.
- Participate in periodically scheduled large cleaning projects.
- Assist cooks and other staff members as needed, coordinating activities when necessary.
- Occasionally prepare food or cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, and other menu items.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid Food Handlers Card or ServSafe certification is mandatory within 30 days of hiring.
- The ideal candidate will have at least six months of experience in the food service industry.
- Familiarity with proper food service sanitation methods and equipment is essential.
- Immunization requirements include TB, and proof of vaccination or records may be necessary.
- The position requires fluency in English for reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
- The work environment is indoors, with controlled temperatures.
- Noise levels are moderate.
- The workplace has a medium pace and involves customer interaction.
- The employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ongoing physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, using hands and fingers, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, seeing, tasting, smelling, and carrying weight or lifting.
