About the JobThis is a high-level position that requires a strong understanding of all levels of laboratory testing, including CLIA defined high complexity testing. The successful candidate will have knowledge of LIS operation and the ability to utilize various laboratory and other software applications.
Responsibilities- Perform all levels of testing, including CLIA defined high complexity testing, and laboratory services.
- Evaluate, judge, and interpret test results for accuracy.
- Identify and resolve inconsistencies in patient results and work with MLTs and LSTs to troubleshoot problems.
- Provide specialized expertise in microbiology, transfusion medicine, molecular biology, and infectious disease safety.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring quality control and functionality.
To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field, as well as progressively responsible work-related experience, education, or training. You should also possess certifications such as Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (AMT).
