Salary Information:

The anticipated hiring range for this position is $49,711 - $73,000, based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.



Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this role is teaching with an average load of fifteen (15) credit hours per semester.


Office hours, advising, and collateral duty assignments are required.


Faculty members are expected to contribute to curriculum and course development.


Teaching schedules may include day and evening classes, dual enrollment classes with local high schools, and multiple campus assignments.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of current experience in the field.
  • This position will require operating a state vehicle and forklift, as well as lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • A valid VA driver's license is required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • An associate's degree or equivalent in the teaching field and welding teaching experience.
  • AWS and/or NCCER Certifications are preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level is also desired.
  • Candidates with interest and/or experience in engaging students in campus life outside the classroom are encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse student populations is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with evidence of successful work experience as a team member, are highly valued.
