Key Responsibilities:- Prescription Management: Enter patient information, including insurance coverage and prescriptions, into our pharmacy software. Submit insurance claims and follow up on rejections.
- Pharmacy Operations: Count and measure medications correctly, type labels neatly, and complete cash and insurance transactions accurately.
- Inventory Management: Receive and stock medications, maintain accurate inventory levels, and complete regular inventory reconciliations.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: One year of retail experience preferred.
- Certification/Licensure: Registered as a Pharmacy Technician by the Florida Board of Pharmacy. Certified as a Pharmacy Technician by PTCB or NHA preferred.
- Special Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish helpful. Ability to work flexible hours and sites as needed.
