About the Role

RSM US LLP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our Process Risk and Controls Consulting Practice, focused on serving global banking institutions. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with top US and global banking clients, providing expert advice on process risk and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise
    • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of internal controls concepts and their application in complex global banking environments.
    • Conduct fieldwork independently, with guidance from client and project team members, and lead more junior team members in executing project objectives.
    • Assess and evaluate policies, procedures, and controls of clients' business processes, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement remediation plans to address control gaps and provide guidance to clients.
    • Review and test application controls, including automated controls, and identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop and present technical findings and recommendations to clients and project team members.
  • Client Experience
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing expert advice on process risk and controls.
    • Conduct risk assessments and identify areas for improvement, providing recommendations to clients.
    • Develop and implement process improvements, working closely with clients and project team members.
    • Prepare and present reports to clients, summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Talent Experience
    • Develop and maintain a strong network of colleagues, providing guidance and support as needed.
    • Participate in training and development opportunities, expanding skills and knowledge in process risk and controls.
    • Contribute to the development of junior team members, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Business Development
    • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the global banking industry, including key trends and developments.
    • Identify and pursue business opportunities, working closely with clients and project team members.
    • Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts, including clients, colleagues, and industry professionals.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, accounting, or related discipline.
    • Minimum of two years of practical experience in external audit, internal audit, or related internal control positions serving large global banking institutions.
    • Proficiency in professional writing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools.
    • Ability to travel to meet client needs and work collaboratively with others in-person and remotely.
