Job Summary

Reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for overseeing the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products to meet shift objectives. Provides direct supervision over an assigned shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensures proper production planning and scheduling are carried out during the assigned shift.
  • Monitors and addresses activities to prevent deviations from production schedules.
  • Balances labor costs and machine requirements during assigned shift.
  • Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize their performance and personal growth.
  • Oversees routine housekeeping as required.
  • Performs tasks assigned by the Plant Manager.
  • Assists in related department activities and performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of product production.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision - self-starter.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Graduation from High School, including or supplemented by vocational training.
  • Minimum three (3) years employment in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands
  • Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity.
  • Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
