Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our team at WMC LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our extrusion equipment to produce high-quality plastic products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to WMC's quality management system and follow established production processes.
  • Load materials into extruders, adjust feed mechanisms, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor machine operations, control boards, and gauges to detect malfunctions and take corrective action.
  • Record details of machine malfunctions and notify other workers as needed.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products and assemble new boxes for packaging.
  • Operate forklifts to move pallets throughout the production floor and verify box weights.
  • Conduct tests and record results as needed, including Ash, Gardner, Moisture, Durometer, Specific Gravity, Melt Flow, and Notched Izod.
  • Maintain a clean work area, sweep excess product, and put away finished products.
  • Understand and follow all WMC Health & Safety Practices and report any injuries or unsafe work conditions.
Work Schedule:

This is a second shift position, scheduled from 2:45pm - 11:15pm, Monday through Friday.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of extrusion processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
