The Property Claims team is dedicated to supporting clients during pivotal moments. Adjusters are responsible for managing commercial property and business income claims that arise from diverse incidents, including natural disasters, theft, water damage, and vandalism. They guide clients through the claims process, aiming to minimize losses and expedite recovery.

As a Senior Adjuster, you will leverage your extensive knowledge in property claims, along with your analytical and negotiation skills, to lead effectively. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing a portfolio of high-stakes and intricate large loss property claims from inception to resolution.

Your role within the Property Claims team will involve:

  • Overseeing complex property and business income claims
  • Applying knowledge of insurance contracts to assess losses
  • Utilizing expertise in litigation claims management
  • Implementing best practices within the Property Team
  • Collaborating with internal departments to resolve claims
  • Working alongside team members to address claims challenges
  • Engaging with external partners for efficient claims processing
  • Assisting with catastrophe responses as needed

You will represent Zurich Insurance Company and the Property Claims division by delivering exceptional claims service and fostering relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires a commitment to achieving results and supporting the overall Claims strategy.

The successful Property Claims team provides essential resources for professional growth within the insurance sector.

This position is home-based, with approximately 50% domestic travel expected.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Claims or Litigation related to commercial property
  • High School Diploma with at least 8 years of experience in Claims or Litigation for commercial property
  • Completion of an approved Apprenticeship program with an Associate Degree and 6+ years of Claims Handling experience in the insurance field
  • Must secure and maintain necessary adjuster license(s)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial property claims
  • Experience managing large loss property claims
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Analytical capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Experience in collaborative work environments
  • Insurance designations such as SCLA, CPCU, AIC

Compliance with any health and safety protocols is a requirement of employment at Zurich.
