About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Critical Care Unit (CCU) at Community Health Systems. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs, formulate a plan of care, and provide care based on identified needs and physician orders according to standards, policy, and procedure.
- Develop and implement patient education plans, communicating and collaborating with other team members to facilitate the delivery of care.
- Provide expert care to patients, self, and peers as professional nurses, the charge nurse, clinical supervisor, unit director, and CNO.
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with ancillary departments and the entire healthcare team.
- Communicate verbally, in writing, and utilize the EMR to ensure effective communication.
- Continuously provide expertise to the staff by assessing the quality and quantity of care and evaluating and intervening in the management of care problems, as necessary.
- Oversee the unit's operations in the absence of the Director or CNO and collaborate with them on an as-needed basis.
Requirements:
- MS RN license
- Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's preferred
- BLS certification, ACLS preferred
- Previous ICU/CCU experience highly preferred
