Job Summary

Holt of California is seeking a skilled Yard Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient preparation and maintenance of our equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with equipment rentals, including check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Conduct thorough safety inspections of equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Prepare equipment for rental by cleaning, checking fluids, and ensuring safety features are functioning properly.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, airing tires, and replacing minor parts.
  • Red tag equipment that requires repairs and work with rental coordinators and shop staff to schedule maintenance.
  • Ensure equipment is in rent-ready condition, including steam cleaning and proper placement.
  • Assist drivers with loading and unloading equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Valid Class C driver's license and clean DMV record required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
