About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers, contributing to the delivery of high-quality early childhood education programs. As an Early Childhood Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate, anti-bias curriculum for children enrolled.
  • Provide high-quality care and early education for young children, utilizing developmentally appropriate techniques.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with children, families, co-workers, and program visitors.
  • Participate in daily activities, including meal preparations, laundry, and kitchen duties.
  • Support the management of classroom supplies and materials.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, students, and community partners.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Credentials or Minimum twelve semester hours in Early Childhood Education courses or equivalent.
  • One semester experience (minimum of 20 clock hours) in the classroom with preschool children.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Ability to obtain Food Handler certification within the first week of employment.
Working Conditions

This position requires a flexible schedule, with typical hours being Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm. You will be expected to work collaboratively with the teaching staff, participate in ongoing training and professional development, and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of your work.
