Sleep Disorder Specialist

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist Assistant to join our team at UP Health System - Portage. As a vital member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced sleep disorders department.

**Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct polysomnograms (sleep studies) on patients with various sleep disorders, including insomnia, sleep apnea, and restless leg syndrome.
• Monitor and record patients' vital signs, brain activity, and other physiological data during sleep studies.
• Provide compassionate patient care, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients undergoing sleep studies.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, preparing equipment, and maintaining accurate records.

**Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as respiratory therapy or a related health science, preferred.
• Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

**Compensation and Benefits:*

• Estimated annual salary: $54,000 - $63,000.
