JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Regal Boats is in search of a driven and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Cost Analyst. In this capacity, you will be instrumental in upholding our commitment to excellence by facilitating financial analysis, cost oversight, and financial planning within our manufacturing framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Data Analysis:
  1. Assist in gathering, organizing, and interpreting financial data pertinent to manufacturing operations.
  2. Employ financial analysis tools such as Excel and financial modeling techniques.
  3. Utilize fundamental accounting principles to evaluate costs, revenues, and profitability.
  • Cost Management Support:
  1. Examine manufacturing expenditures and identify cost influencers.
  2. Support the implementation of cost-reduction strategies and initiatives.
  3. Engage in budgeting, variance analysis, and cost allocation activities.
  4. Assist with monitoring and reporting on inventory balances.
  • Financial Performance Monitoring:
  1. Track the financial performance of manufacturing processes, concentrating on key performance indicators (KPIs) for Regal departments.
  2. Gain insights into financial reporting and performance metrics.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting Assistance:
  1. Contribute to forecasting and budgeting efforts to comprehend demand forecasting methods, production budgeting, and resource allocation.
  2. Develop financial forecasts, monitor budget variances, and adjust forecasts based on evolving conditions.
  • Continuous Improvement in Financial Processes:
  1. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing financial processes within manufacturing operations.
  2. Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows, improve data accuracy, and strengthen financial controls.
  • Communication and Financial Reporting:
  1. Enhance communication skills through regular reporting on financial performance to supervisors and stakeholders.
  2. Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
Required Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  2. Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial modeling and analysis tools is advantageous.
  4. Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  5. Attention to detail and a proactive approach.
  6. Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Conversational English proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Familiarity with accounting software.
  2. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and/or business intelligence programs like Microsoft Power BI.
  3. Internship or coursework related to financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting principles.
