About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team at Metrolink. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading major projects and ensuring the successful delivery of our State of Good Repair (SGR) program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage major projects, including design, construction, and maintenance of Metrolink infrastructure
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Oversee the work of engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including directors, executives, and external partners to ensure project success
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and Metrolink policies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure effective project delivery
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality project delivery
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including reports, records, and databases
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • Proven track record of leading major projects and delivering results
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software
