Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our team. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of cranes in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate cranes to lift and move materials and other objects.
  • Plan all lifts and take charge of safety pertaining to setup and teardown, crane operation, and capacity chart usage.
  • Perform rigging inspections and daily equipment checks.
  • Respond to hand and verbal commands from riggers or helpers.
  • Observe load travel and take action to avoid injury or damage.
  • Read boom angle and drum rotation indicators.
  • Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities, or determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed for a work activity.
  • Inspect subordinate work for compliance with contract plans and specifications, pointing out deficiencies and taking corrective action.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with experience in the field or a related area.
  • Strong working knowledge skills and abilities for the position.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
  • Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools, and layout tools, as well as measurement tools.
Working Conditions
  • Able to meet all physical requirements.
  • Must have all required tools.
  • Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft).
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.
  • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
