Endoscopy LPN Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Endoscopy team at Trinity Health. As an LPN in this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide therapeutic nursing interventions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) for daily care, tube feeds, dressing changes, and more.
  • Administer medications upon completion of the medication course.
  • Document patient information using the EPIC system.
  • Collaborate with an interprofessional team of registered nurses, medical social workers, care managers, nutritionists, rehabilitation services, spiritual care, and pharmacists to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school for Licensed Practical Nursing and current licensure, or eligibility for licensure, in the State of New York.
  • Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Participate in orientation and continuing education to update knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
Work Environment and Hazards:

This role is based in a clinical setting with exposure to Class I hazards. The physical demands of this position include medium work, requiring the ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The role also requires standing, walking, sitting, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
