Tournament Services Coordinator

AEG is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to assist with the planning and logistics of our upcoming tournament. As a Tournament Services Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the Tournament Staff with daily activities, special events, and projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the sports management industry and develop your skills in event operations, marketing, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with daily tournament activities, including checking F&B, tournament office, and Pro-Am setup.
- Support the coordination of social media and marketing efforts.
- Assist with the tournament courtesy car program.
- Provide top-notch customer service to fans and sponsors.
- Compile reports for ticket sales.
- Assist with the operation of the ticket office during tournament week.
- Create processes for Admissions and Will Call during tournament week.
- Support the Sponsor Benefits team throughout all stages of the sales process.
- Coordinate event registration, implementation, and gifting during tournament week.
- Coordinate client ticket and credential fulfillment.
- Work with Sponsor Benefits, Food & Beverage, Operations, and Volunteers to ensure all suites are show-ready for tournament week.
- Sport Management, Marketing, Management, or Communications majors preferred.
- Eligible to work in the United States; international students must have all visas and employment authorizations.
- Must be able to provide own housing and transportation.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Public relations skills and ability to communicate with staff, volunteers, corporate clients, club members, and the public.
- Must take initiative, operate proactively, and think independently in project management, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
- Capacity to work on several projects simultaneously.
- Self-discipline with schedule and time management.
- Organization, attention to detail, and follow-through are crucial.
- Ability to stand for lengthy periods and to lift/move boxes of supplies potentially weighing 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work exceptionally well with others in a close team environment.
- Must be polite, courteous, and treat all guests and associates respectfully.
- Must be able to stay calm during stressful or demanding moments.
