Job Title: Adjunct Professor of Advanced Manufacturing Technology

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor of Advanced Manufacturing Technology to join our team at Blue Ridge Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching industrial maintenance and manufacturing courses in a hands-on experiential format.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach industrial maintenance and manufacturing courses in a hands-on experiential format
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet industry needs
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Maintain a positive classroom/lab culture
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in the field or Associate's degree with demonstrated competency
  • Two years of on-the-job trainer experience or related occupational experience
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers, industrial control devices, and mechanical processes
  • Ability to create open-ended problems for students to solve creatively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Troubleshooting basic circuitry and electronics problems related to Industrial controls and programmable logic controllers
  • Various robotic and programmable logic controller programming languages
  • Use and develop electrical, fluid power, and mechanical schematics and prints
