Nurse Aide for Home Care Assignments

Job OverviewAt BrightStar Care N. Houston/The Woodlands, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide exceptional care to our patients in their homes.

As a CNA, you will be responsible for providing personalized care to patients, including bathing, grooming, oral care, and assisting with daily tasks. You will work closely with our nursing team to ensure the highest level of care and support for our patients.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing care as directed by a nursing supervisor, including but not limited to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, taking and recording vital signs, and assisting with height and weight measurements, if necessary
  • Providing care according to the patient's plan of care, assistance with daily tasks, including but not limited to: feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, providing transportation to doctor appointments
  • Developing and promoting a safe environment for quality client care through adherence to established policies and procedures, and standards
  • Mentoring newly hired CNA's and participating in orientation activities

Requirements:

A current, Texas Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification

High school diploma or GED

Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray

Minimum one (1) year of documented health care experience is required (unless participating in an approved Mentor Program)

Valid Texas Drivers License with insurance and reliable automobile

Must have Covid 19 Vaccine

Must be able to work in home environment with pets

Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
