Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Grocery Manager in overseeing the grocery department, ensuring maximum productivity and profit.
  • Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
  • Effectively coordinate merchandising, sales, and customer service through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
  • Assist in leading a team that delivers exceptional customer service and provides a positive shopping experience.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
  • Unload and sort through store deliveries.
  • Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations.
Requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age and 1-3 years retail management experience.
  • Dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to take and give direction in a team environment.
  • Outgoing and friendly behavior, with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
  • Proven leadership ability to build, motivate, and maintain staff, with a working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
  • Strong focus on detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organization and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
