- Equipment Operation: Maintain valid certifications or licenses needed to operate equipment, ensuring safe and effective use.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to and enforce safety regulations and protocols to create a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other construction professionals, including project managers, engineers, and fellow carpenters, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve challenges or obstacles encountered during the construction process, adapting to changing project requirements.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections to ensure that work meets high-quality standards and complies with project specifications and codes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any changes made during the construction process.
- Basic Qualifications: Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience with thermoplastic fabrication.
- Technical Skills: Basic use of hand tools (hammer, wrench, and tape measure) and experience with powered tools such as drills and saws.
- Soft Skills: Ability to multi-task, follow-through, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment; ability to interact with a diverse workforce effectively and professionally; ability to take initiative with minimal direction.
- Physical Requirements: Clarity of vision at varying distances to perform various work assignments; standing and walking for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate specialized tools and equipment; reaching overhead, above the shoulders, and horizontally; occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching; lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; climbing ladders and working from heights as necessary.
