About the Role

This position is part of the Radiological Controls department (E85) in the Engineering division at HII's Newport News Shipbuilding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the RadCon Engineering internal training and development program.
  • Manage shield surveys across platforms.
  • Act as a liaison between RadCon Engineering and other NNPP sites, local office, and NAVSEA.
  • Develop Self-Assessment and RDR Assessment.
  • Oversee various departmental projects.
  • Manage TLS/Incident Report authoring, facilitation, and review.
  • Contribute to RadCon Engineering hiring and attrition.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • 14 years of relevant exempt experience, or Master's Degree with 12 years of experience, or Ph.D. with 9 years of experience.
