Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute individualized, group, or systemic interventions to foster positive academic, social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes.
  • Encourage appropriate student conduct while redirecting negative behaviors, serving as a model for staff.
  • Maintain and update documentation related to student behavior strategies and interventions.
  • Collect and analyze behavioral data to monitor progress and support instructional teams.
  • Assist educators in managing student behavior and implementing class-wide behavior management systems.
  • Apply principles of applied behavior analysis under the guidance of certified professionals to enhance student outcomes.
  • Conduct observations and assessments to inform behavior intervention plans.
  • Support classroom activities, providing instruction and supervision to students.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies effectively, prioritizing safety and employing de-escalation techniques.
  • Complete necessary documentation and reports, ensuring confidentiality of student information.
  • Participate in safety committees and report potential hazards.
  • Engage in team meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge of behavioral strategies.
  • Supervise students during various school activities and assist with transportation as needed.
  • Travel between multiple sites to provide support as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a passing score on basic skills assessments.
  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is a plus.
  • Valid state driver's license required.
  • Ability to maintain certification in crisis management systems.
  • Experience working with individuals with severe emotional and behavioral challenges is essential.
  • Familiarity with Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) is preferred.
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in relevant technology and software applications.
