Job Summary:

Kerry is a leading taste and nutrition company for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. As a Research Scientist, Genetics, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of food while exploring a truly global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute internal and external customer requests to satisfy project needs from concept through commercialization and troubleshooting.
  • Understand the application need in relation to our customer offerings.
  • Prepare project and experimental plans.
  • Execute internal processes through Kerry business tools (Salesforce, Optiva, and SAP).
  • Capture knowledge in technology transfer reports and sharing to create a smooth handover to Operations and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum MS in food engineering, bioprocess/biosystems engineering, food science, chemical engineering, or any related field.
  • Strong background in food engineering, bioprocessing/biosystems engineering, food processing, food microbiology, bioprocess engineering, sensory, and food packaging systems.
  • Experience with food processing while understanding hygienic and sanitary standards.
  • Significant experience working with industrial processing.
  • Takes initiative on project design & has an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Willingness to travel.

Compensation:

The typical hiring range for this role is $74,000 to $108,000 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc.

In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
