Process Development Engineer

Aurora Innovations is seeking a highly skilled Process Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the development of overall systems and system components.
Key Responsibilities- System Development: Design and develop overall systems and system components, ensuring they meet the company's requirements and standards.
- Test Series and Analyses: Plan, execute, and evaluate test series and analyses to validate system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Pilot Plant Operations: Commission and pilot operate special machines and pilot plants, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and meet the company's standards.
- Process Responsibility: Take overall responsibility for the company's pilot plants, ensuring they are operated and maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Mass Tests and Scaling: Plan, execute, and evaluate mass tests for scaling up process steps, ensuring they meet the company's requirements and standards.
- Technical Specifications: Write technical specifications for plant manufacturers, ensuring they meet the company's requirements and standards.
- Hardware Design: Design hardware components and conduct supplier inquiries to ensure the best possible solutions for the company.
- Production Plant Planning: Take overall process responsibility for planning a production plant, ensuring it meets the company's requirements and standards.
- Theoretical Simulations: Conduct theoretical simulations and validation based on practical model experiments, ensuring they meet the company's requirements and standards.
- Interface Management: Manage the interface between the electrical and mechanical departments, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance in meetings with potential customers and business partners, ensuring the company's interests are represented.
- In-House Projects: Lead in-house special projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Education: Completed degree in mechanical engineering or process engineering.
- Experience: Several years of professional experience in the field of special plant machine construction.
- Skills: Excellent comprehension skills, combined with logic and analytical thinking. Expertise in process engineering, simulation, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and energy technology. Professional experience in plant planning, process development, and scaling up. Knowledge of sensor technology and measurement technology.
- Personal Qualities: Team-oriented and strong communication skills, with reliability, commitment, and a high level of self-organization. Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken. Driver's license class B.
