Job Summary
The Weekender Medical Surgical RN will provide direct patient care to patients on our Intermediate Medical Surgical Unit. This unit is a 26-bed fast-paced, high acuity unit that requires strong critical thinking and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and be a team player who is committed to collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to patients on the Intermediate Medical Surgical Unit
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
- Basic Life Support
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in specific Stepdown Units
