Role Description:
We are in search of a Rotating Equipment Specialist to enhance our aftermarket repair and upgrade services. This role is crucial in our service shop, focusing on optimizing equipment performance and minimizing operational costs.

Leveraging extensive experience in pump design, our services encompass condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, field service, engineered upgrades, inventory management, and comprehensive overhauls for pumps and rotating machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess work scope and materials based on client specifications.
  • Identify and report defects in materials, rework, missed inspections, and job delays to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all inspection documentation and drawings.
  • Review and inspect running clearances of equipment prior to final assembly.
  • Conduct final inspections of all machined components to verify completeness and accuracy.
  • Perform final inspections of assembled equipment, documenting data and coordinating final paperwork before shipment.
  • Execute air and hydro-testing of equipment safely.
  • Engage in additional projects and responsibilities to support business operations.

Position Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with diverse clients.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting complex issues related to rotating equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret pump schematics.
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving practical problems.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Well-developed planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Competent in producing clear and concise documentation.
  • Exhibit good judgment, a strong work ethic, and integrity.
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications.

Experience:
Minimum of 10 years in troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment.

Competencies:
  • Extensive knowledge of rotating equipment, pump mechanics, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience in repair techniques for rotating machinery.

Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; Vocational/Technical Degree preferred.

Work Environment:
The role requires frequent standing, walking, and manual dexterity. Employees may need to lift up to 50 pounds and must be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary. The work environment is typically noisy, reflecting the nature of a machine repair shop.
