We are seeking a highly skilled Training and Development Associate to join our team at City National Bank. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Design, coordinate, and implement training programs to meet the needs of our Banking and Investment Services (B&IS) team and overall corporate direction.
- Ensure that training programs adhere to established project goals, department standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with other training colleagues to support newly established training programs, including New Hire orientations, new to financial services bootcamp, and manager-level training.
- Collaborate with operations subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop educational content that supports the development of B&IS procedures and converts them into training materials for each department.
- Coordinate B&IS-related training projects, including the development and oversight of project plans, implementation plans, and ongoing maintenance plans.
- Monitor training project schedules and resolve project-related issues appropriately.
- Clearly communicate ideas and concepts both orally and in writing.
- Supervise, train, coach, and motivate staff; assist and direct staff as needed to ensure productivity and service levels are met.
- Foster and maintain good relationships with colleagues and clients to ensure that processes are integrated to support expected customer service levels.
- Act as a business partner by managing expectations and providing guidance and advice throughout project duration.
- Comply fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in classroom training, developing training materials, or delivering training.
- Strong creative skill set to reach all audiences and levels of expertise.
- Skilled in creating and updating training content development.
- Proficient in PowerPoint.
- Ability to multitask and self-manage time to meet deadlines.
- Ability to participate in the development and enhancement of general processes and/or coaching procedures that will support productivity.
- Ability to recognize and reward successes and accomplishments.
- Ability to make independent decisions and quickly assist colleagues with resolving client service issues, inquiries, and complaints.
- Ability to work well independently and in teams.
- Ability to handle problem situations with colleagues and clients effectively.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and bank policies and procedures.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Bank personnel and customers.
