Medical Laboratory Specialist Role

The Medical Laboratory Specialist is a vital member of the U.S. Army team, conducting tests on tissue, blood, and body fluids to aid in medical diagnosis.
Job Responsibilities- Collect blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary puncture.
- Pack, unpack, inspect, store, and distribute blood and blood products.
- Assemble, disassemble, and maintain laboratory equipment.
Job training for this role requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 52 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, including practice-testing specimens.
Required Skills- Ability to follow detailed procedures precisely.
- Interest in biology, chemistry, and algebra.
This position offers an estimated salary of $42,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
