Background:

The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) operates a global network of commissaries, ensuring military personnel, retirees, and their families have access to safe and secure grocery shopping. The Public Affairs Office (PAO) and Marketing (MPM) play a crucial role in communicating effectively with diverse internal and external audiences, which is vital for DeCA's success in fulfilling its mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and the primary technical advisor for cybersecurity matters.
  • Assist in cybersecurity initiatives by addressing findings, creating Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs), applying necessary patches, and managing documentation for tracking and reporting.
  • Conduct security configuration hardening and manage vulnerabilities effectively.
  • Maintain continuous Authority to Operate (ATO) for web systems.
  • Address all Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) promptly as mandated.
  • Ensure adherence to the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program.
  • Support cybersecurity operations to protect information related to web system hardware and software.
  • Provide technical assistance during the Annual Security Review process.
  • Utilize Enterprise Mission Assurance Support (E-MASS) for documenting cybersecurity-related information.
  • Employ vulnerability scanning tools to identify and remediate system vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct activities necessary for the Web Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DR) to ensure readiness.
  • Create, update, and maintain documentation for the WEB COOP and DR plans.
  • Conduct annual exercises for COOP and DR to verify operational readiness.
  • Provide checklists and After-Action reports following scheduled exercises.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess IAM II Certification (CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO, or HCISPP).
