Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and testing of robust data infrastructure solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with network, systems, and application engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of database systems.
  • Utilize a wide range of ingest methods and data management techniques to handle diverse data types, functionalities, compliance standards, and availability requirements.
  • Work effectively with project managers, engineers, and customers to facilitate communication and ensure project success.
  • Provide expert guidance on database security analysis, vulnerability remediation processes, and best practices.
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in the field of database management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of proven experience in database engineering and administration for complex, high-volume data processing environments.
  • Minimum two (2) years of hands-on experience designing, installing, administering, upgrading, patching, and performance tuning Oracle databases.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in all aspects of the database lifecycle, including design, installation, deployment, data migration, maintenance, backup/recovery, patching, and upgrade.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle engineered systems such as Exadata, Big Data, MiniCluster, or SuperCluster.
  • Experience managing database systems in high availability and system redundancy environments.
  • Expert-level skills in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, SQL*Plus, and SQL Developer.
  • Extensive experience with database architecture, design, processing models, data architecture, modeling, and management across various data repository environments (data warehouse, online transaction processing, hybrid).
