Position Overview:
PotomacWave Consulting is seeking a skilled Research Analyst to support a Federal client. This role involves serving as a technical expert on Intelligence-related Work (IW) projects while ensuring a comprehensive understanding of ongoing project activities. The analyst will provide guidance to IW participants regarding project status, client interactions, and adherence to established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and interface with field offices, laboratory program management, and project sponsor officials within the Intelligence Community (IC).
- Offer advice and detailed guidance to field intelligence elements, IC departments, and agencies concerning Departmental policies and procedures for IW requests and execution.
- Act as a technical authority on IW projects, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of project activities to inform IW participants about approved work status, client-project sponsor issues, and compliance with relevant policies.
- Serve as a primary contact for customer relations, addressing and resolving issues presented by IW participants.
- Recommend viable policies, strategies, and procedures for the approval and execution of IW activities.
- Ensure compliance of the assigned IW portfolio with all intelligence requirements, particularly for sensitive projects that protect intelligence sources and methods critical to national security.
- Maintain an automated tracking and monitoring system for internal use and the broader complex.
- Utilize various government information technology systems and databases to analyze message traffic based on the government client's criteria, reporting findings to senior leadership.
- Collaborate closely with IW participants to clarify IN guidance and requirements for IC IW.
- Assess information critically while adhering to directives and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in analytical and evaluative methods related to intelligence research and technology utilization.
- Thorough understanding of the DOD, National Intelligence Community, and U.S. government organizations, along with their roles in processing and analyzing IW and sensitive intelligence data.
- Proven experience in analyzing and evaluating technical and scientific data pertinent to interagency and intelligence agreements.
- Familiarity with classified material preparation and handling at the classified level.
- Ability to synthesize information from diverse sources and tools, providing assessments and recommendations for improvements.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the capability to liaise with intelligence personnel.
- Proficient in preparing various recurring and special reports, briefings, and information papers.
- Ability to work with tact and discretion when interacting with federal and contractor management, senior managers, and high-level personnel.
- Successful completion of a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination may be required for this position.
- Active TS clearance is mandatory.
