Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team at Ryman Hospitality Properties. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, managing the bar, and preparing and serving a wide range of beverages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service
    • Greet all guests at the bar and interact with them in a friendly and natural manner, cultivating regular and repeat business.
    • Take orders accurately and assist guests in a fast-paced environment, responding to their inquiries regarding menu, wine list, and entertainment.
    • Suggestively sell menu items, beverages, desserts, and make recommendations, memorizing menus and daily specials to share with guests.
  • Drink Preparation
    • Follow established techniques and recipes to create drinks that enhance the guest experience.
  • Responsible Alcohol Service
    • Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance, alcohol awareness training, and company policies, requesting proper ID per company policy.
  • Cash Handling and Inventory
    • Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures, including proper operation of POS terminals, collecting money from guests, processing credit card transactions accordingly, and reconciling financials at end of shift.
    • Assist with inventory, product rotation, and date labeling to ensure fresh products are readily available for preparation.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Attend pre-shift meetings before each shift, perform defined opening/running/closing duties, and maintain a clean and orderly food service environment during operation and at end of shift, following sanitation procedures required by health regulatory agencies.
    • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager, and follow and support brand standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience
    • Previous bartending experience in high-volume restaurant/bar/venue preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated team player and self-starter.
    • Ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety-minded manner.
  • Licenses/Certifications
    • State Alcohol Education Card required upon hire.
