As a Child Care Specialist with the Cherokee Nation, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our community. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our youngest citizens.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic child care services, including monitoring children's behavior and activities.
- Organize and initiate age-appropriate games and activities to promote learning and development.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for children.
- Perform health, nutrition, and hygiene care for children.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
- Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work schedule is 12:00pm - 9:00pm.
