Job Title: Special Education Teacher

At KIPP St. Louis Public Schools, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting our exceptional learners and ensuring they reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized instruction and support tailored to the diverse learning abilities of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide individualized and specialized programming and instruction through the IEP process.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures, and facilitate effective communication with students, families, and staff.
  • Design and deliver academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments that meet the needs of students.
  • Use data to inform instructional decisions and provide students with daily feedback on performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Missouri Mild/Moderate Cross Categorical K-12 Certification or willingness to become certified ASAP.
  • Pass Criminal Background Check.
  • Demonstrated commitment to closing the opportunity gap.
