The Head of Surveying Operations will be responsible for steering the surveying division at Babich & Assoc. This role demands a visionary leader who can guide the team towards achieving excellence in surveying practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and shape the strategic vision for the surveying division.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of surveying initiatives, ensuring they meet established quality benchmarks, deadlines, and financial constraints.
- Work collaboratively with project leads, engineers, and various stakeholders to formulate effective surveying methodologies that align with project goals.
- Supervise a dedicated team of surveyors and technical staff, offering mentorship and professional development opportunities.
- Assess survey findings, documentation, and legal materials to confirm precision and adherence to legal standards.
- Build and nurture client relationships, acting as the main liaison for all surveying-related matters.
- Remain updated on industry innovations, advancements in surveying tools, and changes in regulations, integrating this knowledge into departmental operations.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Possession of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) certification.
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in the surveying field, with a solid history of managing both residential and commercial surveying projects.
- Expertise in surveying technologies and software.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to inspire and guide a team.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Capability to juggle multiple projects concurrently while effectively prioritizing tasks.
