Position Summary:
Aviation Service Partners Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Chief Inspector to oversee our inspection operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all aircraft maintenance and associated equipment meet the stringent standards set forth by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and manufacturers' specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the principal authority for inspection within the organization.
- Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive inspection program to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with maintenance personnel to uphold industry standards and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Act as the primary liaison with local FAA representatives, facilitating audits and inspections.
- Review and recommend updates to the Quality Control Manual and related quality assurance programs.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma required.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years in Part 145 operations, with at least 5 years in an inspection role.
Certifications:
- Valid Driver's License
- A&P (Airframe & Power Plant) Certification
- I/A (Inspector Authorization)
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in aviation maintenance management or a related field.
Experience: Over 10 years in Part 145 operations, with a minimum of 3 years in an inspection capacity.
Essential Duties:
- Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft and components to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation systems for inspection procedures.
- Ensure all maintenance records are complete and accurate, with authorized signatures for airworthiness releases.
- Monitor calibration programs for precision tools and test equipment.
- Oversee the inspection of incoming materials and components, ensuring proper identification and storage.
- Review aircraft discrepancy records to ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Assist FAA representatives during inspections of company-operated aircraft.
Supervisory Role:
Supervise and guide personnel within the Quality Control Department, ensuring effective inspection functions are performed.
