At TBI Airport Management Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled International Services Interpreter to join our team. As an International Services Interpreter, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to international passengers, airline employees, and federal agents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Interpretation Services: Interpret for federal agents during routine inspections of international passengers, and assist with complex deportation and prosecution cases.
  • Assist with Passenger Information: Provide airport, airline, and tourist information to passengers in English and Spanish, as required.
  • Operate Public Address System: Announce arriving and departing flights, and assess the validity of paging requests.
  • Provide Information and Assistance: Assist employees and visitors in all areas of the International and/or Domestic Concourses.
Requirements:
  • Language Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in English and Portuguese, with demonstrated skill in effective written communication in at least one foreign language.
  • Education: College degree preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience interpreting/translating in a professional environment preferred.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with other TBI employees, airline employees, and federal agents.
Working Conditions:

The majority of time will be spent walking the Arrivals and Departures levels, assisting airline and airport employees, federal agents, and passengers with information regarding the Federal Inspection process, arriving and departing flights, and tourist information. Ensure that pedestrian traffic is moving and unobstructed. Walking and standing for an extended period of time is required throughout the course of daily activities.
