About This Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Improvement Coach to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering coaching services to improve the quality of our child care programs. This role requires effective communication, collaboration, and a passion for supporting the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and engage child care providers to participate in quality improvement activities
  • Conduct onsite coaching visits and provide feedback to participants
  • Model developmentally appropriate practices and provide resources on early education curricula
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work activities and participant progress
  • Facilitate networking opportunities and build connections with local colleges and universities
  • Assist providers with implementing professional development plans and monitoring progress
  • Stay up-to-date on child care assessment tools, QRIS systems, and quality improvement efforts
  • Develop and implement Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) using SMART Goals
  • Provide coaching and technical assistance on ECE professional development opportunities
  • Prepare and submit required documentation and reports
  • Travel throughout the San Gabriel Valley to provide onsite coaching and attend trainings and meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in child development or a related field
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in early childhood education, social work, or a related field
  • Three years of experience in a child care setting
  • Experience working with adult learners and knowledge of quality rating tools
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
  • California driver's license and daily use of an automobile
