About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the electrical design team on large institutional and industrial projects, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely completion of schematic design development and contract document phases.
  • Establish and participate in meetings with governing agencies to ensure code compliance, and coordinate workload to meet project deadlines.
  • Conduct site visits with the Project Manager and other disciplines to review electrical documents and identify areas of conflict.
  • Review and edit electrical specifications, select equipment, and coordinate with affected disciplines to incorporate changes into project documents.
  • Provide construction contract administration as needed, and conduct QA/QC on the work of other Electrical Engineers, Electrical Coordinators, or Technicians.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design of buildings, with a focus on lighting, power, and systems.
  • Previous experience in an architectural, engineering, or engineering consulting firm is highly desirable.
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design and LEED is a plus, but not required.
