Goldfish Swim School - Redmond is seeking a dedicated individual to fulfill the role of Receptionist and Swim Instructor. This position offers a competitive pay range of $20-$24 per hour, based on the number of shifts worked, with a minimum commitment of 3 shifts per week. All training is compensated.
We are in search of a candidate who can effectively manage front desk operations while also providing swim instruction. The available shifts include:
- Tuesday 3:40pm-7:40pm
- Wednesday 3:40pm-7:40pm
- Thursday 3:40pm-7:40pm
- Friday 3:40pm-6:40pm
- Saturday 8:40am-12:40pm and 1:10pm-4:10pm
- Sunday 8:40am-12:40pm

Qualifications:
- Experience working with children
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Successful completion of background checks (included in training)
- Availability to work a minimum of 8 hours per week
- Must be at least 16 years old or turning 16 upon starting
Position Summary: The individual will provide swim instruction based on the established Goldfish Swim School curriculum, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver swim instruction in accordance with the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
- Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person promptly.
- Assess student progress and complete necessary documentation efficiently.
- Engage with parents/guardians regarding their child's swimming development.
- Act as an ambassador for Goldfish Swim School to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions outside of regular hours.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience: Previous customer service experience is preferred. Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider is advantageous. A minimum of two years as a swimming instructor is preferred.
Certifications: Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid training will be provided.
Work Environment: This role requires standing at the front desk and involves exposure to heat and humidity. The noise level is typically moderate.
