Job Summary

The SCR Commissioning & Field Service Specialist is responsible for the installation, commissioning, and start-up of SCR systems. This individual must become familiar with all major subsystems of copper and aluminum rod mills sold to customers and provide process installation guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise customer installation of SCR systems
  • Install, configure, commission, and troubleshoot subsystems of the continuous processing system, including pumps, motors, and valves
  • Solve complex problems to identify process and/or equipment improvement opportunities
  • Assist in the specifications, installation, and modification of SCR systems
  • Manage SCR service program, including periodic audits, vibration analysis monitoring, and PM program for end users
  • Develop and maintain PM documents for SCR equipment sold to end users
  • Perform customer training on features and general maintenance of the systems
  • Act as a resource to answer technical questions posed by customers and new employees
  • Produce daily progress reports during startups and field service visits
  • Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving operations and solving maintenance-related problems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 15+ years of direct experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements
  • Self-starter with a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Proven experience of successful completion of projects
  • AutoCad experience or ability to learn to use this software
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals
