Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Embraer. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, including modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
  • Work from diagrams and drawings, making initial layouts and using hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
  • Conduct quality inspections on processing lines in accordance with quality specifications.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
  • Follow approved assembly procedures for component or aircraft structures, consulting internal procedures, OEM technical data, and work package instructions.
  • Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points.
  • Inspect completed work to identify any needed rework before signing off, ensuring that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
  • Perform serviceability tests as required, utilizing test equipment specified in technical manuals.
  • Complete work package documentation as required by FAA and/or repair station manual.
  • Submit completed work to Quality Assurance for final/in progress inspection and certification of airworthiness.
Requirements
  • High School/GED and mechanical/electrical experience a plus.
  • Generally, 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
  • Ability to work different shifts and flexible hours if required.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR Respirator Protection regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.

As required by the position, must have the ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR Respirator Protection regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.

Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required.

Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
