Key Responsibilities:
We are in search of a Manufacturing Financial Controller who will operate under general management guidelines and oversee the administration and interpretation of accounting policies relevant to our manufacturing operations. This role involves contributing to the development and support of the company's strategic initiatives while providing financial leadership within the plant and collaborating with local management.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and organize all cost accounting and general accounting functions to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
- Manage product costing and conduct variance analysis.
- Continuously monitor material, labor, and overhead accounts to ensure accurate reporting and provide recommendations for budgeting and forecasting.
- Establish and update bills of materials, labor routings, and overhead costs in SAP to reflect the true cost of products.
- Propose modifications to the chart of accounts and cost systems to adapt to evolving trends and conditions.
- Oversee the maintenance of manufacturing ledgers, cost accounting activities, and the preparation of financial and control reports.
- Develop and accurately manage the plant's budget and forecasts to ensure financial accountability.
- Close financial records each period, report results, and explain variances.
- Conduct account analysis, manage inventory tracking systems, and lead cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure the safeguarding and oversight of all inventory transactions and controls.
- Lead compliance efforts related to financial regulations.
- Supervise payroll preparation and distribution, including maintaining necessary records.
- Manage records related to workers' compensation, insurance coverage, property taxes, and other accounting matters.
- May also oversee office management tasks, administer credit policies, and ensure compliance with operational and capital budgets.
Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, along with 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or cost accounting role. Supervisory experience and familiarity with SAP Manufacturing are essential.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to articulate ideas, challenges, and solutions clearly.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Prior experience with compliance efforts is advantageous.
